The First World Jewish Satellite Channel to Be Based in Berlin

The headquarters of the most powerful Jewish TV channel will be located in Berlin. This is due to the fact that this city hosts the largest Jewish diaspora in Europe - more than a hundred thousand people.
Many of them, incidentally, are emigrants from Russia and the CIS. However, the final place of the channel's headquarters has not yet been determined. Ideas are being expressed to place it in Moscow, where several hundred thousand Jews live, or in New York, where the Jewish diaspora is also very numerous. The initiators of the TV channel creation deny that the new structure is intended to oppose or at least to balance the World Islamic TV channel "Al-Jazeera," located in Qatar. Of course, the new channel will have both relevant news programs and big political and economic shows, but a significant amount of time will be dedicated to business topics, as well as issues of culture, arts and sports. The greater part of the grid will be occupied by religious programs. Initially, English will be the anguage of the channel, but later on it is expected to expand the geography of broadcasting.
Interestingly, a few years ago in New York the World Jewish TV channel was created. The initiator of its creation was the late Badri Patarkatsishvili, a Georgian Jew and Judaism professor. However, the channel had a much smaller audience covered.
