Vandalism: Graffiti on Vitebsk Synagogue

Jewish community members found the slogan "Six million is a lie" and fascist swastika on the elevation of the Vitebsk synagogue building (4 Pervaya Kolkhoznaya Str.) some time ago.
According to the information on the web site of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities, graffiti approximately two meters in size each were made with an indeliblepaint.
Vitebsk Jewish community's administration appealed to the police at once.
Representatives of the community visited the Jewish cemetery on the same day but, fortunately, not a single grave had been touched.
A the similar act of vandalism took place in 2005. On May
5, the day before Holocaust Remembrance Day, a swastika also appeared on the building of the Vitebsk synagogue.
The appeal to the militia has not given any results, no perpetrators have been found.
