Russian department of foreign affairs is ready to contribute via UN to settlement of politic process at Near East.

Russia continues to make active diplomatic attempts, at UN as well, in order to break through the circle of confrontation at Near East. This information was provided on Monday by Information and Press Department of MFA of RF.
At MFA they find it highly important that the consultation of members of National Security Council on Near East has shown the unity referring the ways of settling the matter in the region.
Members of SC have characterized the situation on the territory of Near East as extremely unstable and tragic. Besides, in course of consultation it was noted that the background of degradation of the Israel-Palestine opposition is the controversy between Israel and Lebanon in respect of water resource division.
The members of National Security Council have highlighted the necessity of solving this matter in amicable way basing at norms of international law in order to prevent the new wave of tension in Southern Lebanon.
