Paris mayor cancels anti-Zionist party film

Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe prevented a movie theater from screening a film about the Anti-Zionist Party leader known as Dieudonné.
The mayor "totally disapproves" of allowing a southern Paris theater from projecting the documentary, said mayoral spokesman Laurent Fary, according to the French news agency AFP.
Dieudonné and co-party leaders were set to attend the screening Tuesday at the Entrepot theater amid their final week of campaigning across the Paris region for election to the European Parliament. Voting in France takes place June 7 and Delanoe, of the Socialist Party, has tried to limit the influence of the Anti-Zionists in the elections.
One of the film's two directors, Francesco Condemi, told reporters that he and the theater agreed to cooperate with the mayor's wishes.
Condemi directed the film, titled "Without politeness, a look into the Dieudonné scene," with Beatrice Pignede.
On Tuesday, the state secretary to parliament relations, Roger Karoutchi, also condemned the "anti-Semitic provocations of Dieudonné" in a news release.
