Choice of JAFI programs in Moldova

A seminar for potential repatriates was held by the Jewish Agency in the metropolitan complex of the Institute of Labor, which was attended by 46 participants from all over the country.
While many participants attend this event for the first time, the Head of JAFI in Moldova Paula Lam-Chaim, who opened the seminar, highlighted the goals, objectives, activities of the Jewish Agency, and even shared her personal story about the repatriation of her family in the 1970s.
For classes, the participants were divided into 3 groups - depending on the age and family composition. The children of potential repatriates were led by the experienced madrichim of the Youth Club - Nikita Tsurkan and Lina Buneeva. All adult participants received a most detailed information from the coordinators of Alliyah department on the conditions of repatriation, life, and work in Israel.
This year, the JAFI has suggested the future repatriates a wide range of programs to choose from. For young people - NAALE, SELA, student programs; for families with children, without children and single parents - subsidized programs in kibbutzim, and absorption center "Ivim"; employment programs for doctors and travel agents, etc. Talks on these programs were alternated with the psychological warm-up.
At the end of the seminar, Paula Lam-Chaim thanked the participants and coordinators for the work and looked forward to further meetings with each family. While the seminar participants thanked the organizers for the interesting and informative program, and asked to arrange for more such events.
