                  In Ternopol, for the first time after the World War II, the celebrations of the "Khanuka" holiday took place.

                  In Ternopol, for the first time after the World War II, the federation of religious Judaic communities has carried out celebrations on the occasion of the Jewish "Khanuka" holiday. This mass action has taken place despite of threats from local right radicals.
                  The Chief Rabbi of the central and western Ukraine, Shlemo Wilhelm, participated in the holiday.
                  According to the "German tune", the regional organization "Jewish Community" has over 800 members. According to the head of this community, Dmitry Fajnshtejn, they were twice rejected in renting a hall for carrying out the celebration in the city dramatic theatre and the philharmonic society.
                  However celebration has taken place, and several hundreds people participated in it.
