                  Extermination of the Jews in Kiev during World War II is the subject of a feature film.

                  The mass extermination of Jews by the German troops in Kiev during World War II has become the subject for a feature film; sixty years after the tragic events took place. An international group of filmmakers from Germany, Italy and Russia, headed by the American director Jeff Quenew, shot the movie in Belarus. The film was premiered in Hollywood, at the end of 2002. Recently, it was shown in Germany.
                  The film is based on real events. It depicts personal destinies and stories of the people who survived the tragedy and could not believe it was real.
                  The film producer, Arthur Brauner, 84, had lost many of his relatives, perished in concentration camps. "Babiy Yar" is the 12th film of his, dealing with the Nazi past of Germany. "The reality in "Babiy Yar" is depicted the way millions of people, including me, lived it through, back then", said Arthur Brauner.
