House of Friendship of Nations to open in Orsk.
27.02.2003 The idea of opening a House of Friendship of Nations is about to be put to life in the town of Orsk. The Jewish community of the town thinks that the main objective of the House will be to allow the town's ethnic minority to organize meetings, socials and other events of the kind with its members whenever needed, thus strengthening the respective communities. The Mayor of Orsk has sent a letter of support to the leaders of ethnic and cultural organizations of the town, expressing his personal interest in founding a center of the kind. The project is expected to be brought about by 2005.
