The sentence to the hooligans who made a pogrom in the Central synagogue of Kiev in April of 2002.
04.03.2003 In Kiev, the hooligans that had made a pogrom in a local synagogue are sentenced to imprisonments of different durations.
The sentences, written in a dry bureaucratic language, reads that the accused "approached the building of the Central synagogue, where, for no apparent reason, driven by hooligan motives, and cruelly violating the public order out of apparent disrespect towards the society and showing particular impudence, in the presence of a considerable number of bystanders, carried out premeditated actions aimed at stirring up ethnical hostility and hatred, as well as at humiliating ethnical pride and dignity; hurt citizens' religious sentiments through the insults shouted out at the citizens of Jewish descent
