                  Saint-Petersburg: the "Azart" Confectionary complex plans on producing Kosher products.

                  The "Azart" First Confectionary complex "(Saint-Petersburg) plans to start producing Kosher products, to be exported to Israel, informs ABNews.ru.
                  Yuriy Azarov, the commercial manager, has announced that his company and the Israeli EDVAL are currently working on a new range of goods. A joint Russian-Israeli company working in this field may appear in the future.
                  To start producing Kosher product in its territory, the "Azart" close corporation must obtain the definitive permission from the commission of the Central Rabbi Office of Russia. The commission of the Central Rabbi Office has already visited the production line and highly appraised the equipment and technology used.
                  The Kashrut department of the Central Rabbi Office of Russia is planning to check whether all the suppliers of the "Azart" close corporation have the Kashrut certificate for each of the ingredients which require a detailed certification and will be used in the production of Kosher products.
                  Provided that all documents are in order, the "Azart" close corporation will be able to receive all the documents necessary for starting the production of Kosher products in a month's time; and will be able to start the production in two months' time. The volume of the products to be exported to Israel may reach up 50 tons per month.
                  If the production of Kosher products will be started in Saint-Petersburg, 35% of the "Azart"'s products exported to Israel will be non-Kosher, and 65% will be Kosher.
