On May 2, 2014, the Chairman of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council, VAAD Ukraine visited the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Center and recorded a three-hour-long interview with the workers of the center.

Josef Zisels also discussed the situation with the Jewish community of Ukraine against the backdrop of current events with Primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Svyatoslav Shevchuk during a banquet in honor of his visit.
